An absolutely terrible experience! I am a photographer who frequently purchases photography props through Etsy, and I have never had as bad of an experience as I have with this seller. n nI originally purchased the newborn bed on 07/24/12 and received the item on 08/08/12. The original delay in shipping was due to me making a decision on the item, so the shipping time of the first bed is not an issue. The item arrived damaged (all four joints where the bed rails meet the headboard and footboard were split). I emailed the vendor immediately and also sent many pictures. Several emails were sent between me and the seller before we agreed for her to send me a return shipping label to mail back the package. I was originally told I needed to file a claim with the post office to get my money back. When I went to the post office to file the claim, I was told it was a 30-day process and the claim would be denied, as there were inadequate packing materials used to ship the item. n nYesterday, September 12th (more than a month after receiving the defective first package), I received the new package. When I opened it, this bed was also damaged (two joints were cracked through). I again immediately contacted the vendor. Her response was unprofessional and unacceptable. She actually suggested I was intentionally damaging the bed for a refund. I was already frustrated with her lack of customer service, but this accusation left me very upset. Why would I spend $75 on a prop I want for newborn sessions to damage it upon arrival? I've followed up with the seller multiple times asking when I could expect the new bed, as I had several shoots I was hoping to use it for. n nI was told I can ship the bed back at my own expense for a refund; however, it is unacceptable to expect a buyer to pay $29 to return a damaged item. This seller needs to accept responsibility for her product arriving defective. I am not sure if the product is poorly made and therefore unable to ship safely, or if the fault lies with the postal service. Eit
